Default New Production: 870 or 500

Regarding new production shotguns....any opinion on Remington 870 express vs Mossberg 500?

Used Remington 870 for about $200-300...............Unlike the Mossberg it will last for many many more decades

We use the Mossberg 590A1. I like it and bought one for myself.

Remington, Mossberg, Winchester are all good. I prefer the Mossberg.

Mossberg 500s are great shotguns, if you are afraid of aluminum receiver, the 590 is steel

I bought a 590A1 with 7 shot tube and bead sight. It’s a great shotgun and I love it. I’m looking at the 500SP with 20” barrel and ghost ring sight system for throwing slugs 100 yards down range to hit steel. I also saw a regular 590 with a ghost ring sight system too. The 870 has a classic looks but I heard Remington’s quality control is going down so I figured I would ask here.

870 of course. Mossberg always reminded me of the gun you bought because they were sold out of the Remington's.

I prefer the Mossberg, have a lot more of them (in various forms) than 870s.
