Aero would be my choice with the budget you listed. Their sure runs sales frequently and would probably be cheaper to buy upper and lower separate.

    Mp10 consistently gets good feedback.

PSA if you want some money left over for an optic or ammo . They seem to be running good these days

With all the AR10s I have had... I would rather spend the same amount of money on a way nicer bolt action and put the money saved on the rifle towards an amazing scope.

This is why I'm not running out to blow thousands on another AR10.
Semi auto 308s are NOT fun to shoot (weird recoil) or carry around (heavy).
I don't have a lot of money to burn through so it's not like I'm going to be doing mag dumps with a 308 anyway.
    Did I just say that...
    I must be getting old.
Yep...I agree with all of this.

I much prefer to shoot a 308 bolt gun.

Which bolt action .308 rifle would you recommend around my budget?

You can buy a Remington 700P and a nice scope with what you would have spent on an AR10.
Later on they are very customizable, triggers, stocks, barrels, etc...

As others have mentioned, Aero and PSA are good options, and I have a PSA myself. Personally I love the AR10 experience but I could see how it might not be for some people. It is observable that milsurp brass is a bit tougher in .308 so it's nice to have for reloading for the gas guns that tend to beat brass up a bit more. Also it is quite good to have an adjustable gas block which now the PSA has as standard in their .308 and has had with their 6.5 from the beginning.
