The LGBT cult is different, but that's because they had near-100% of the media on their side, and all of Hollywood, and all the law school faculties, and therefore most of the courts.

Do gun owners have most of the media on our side? Is Hollywood dedicated to fabricating tales of noble and oppressed gun owners being shafted by heartless govt and citizens?

    I don't think so.

Mostly, open carriers come across to the majority of the plebes like this moron:
    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...lmart-n1040676

On the other side of the coin, if nobody open carries, the transplants from NY and NJ will never see a gun. They need to see that normal carry carry guns, and the only way to do this is to open carry.

Moreover, people will come to say "why do we need open carry laws if nobody is using them"?

When the N-transplants (NY, NJ) see someone carrying a gun, it doesn't inure them to seeing guns. It terrifies them. It's like trying to get someone over their irrational acrophobia by randomly forcing them to walk across glass floors over 100-foot drops.

I agree that forcing gun owners to hide in the closets along with Christians and capitalists, doesn't help us. That doesn't mean that encouraging pasty-faced loners with web gear to open carry rifles into Walmart and Victoria's Secret WILL help us; it just means that there are lots of bad ideas.

My Kimber Ultra Carry or Sig P238 on my hip should scare nobody. They are not the guns used in any shootings and are as innocuous-looking as it gets in the gun world. Given that 99.999999% of NY/NJ transplants will never visit a gun range, I will continue to open carry. Those who have closed minds will never be changed, so there is no loss, while those with a modicum of an open mind can be changed, little by little.

Concealed carriers are more lawful than even police officers! And even still they are being demonized. At some point, the truth needs to play a role in this. Am sick and tired of the BS and so called business leaders who simply go along with the unthinking mob, thinking that doing so will buy their graces with said mob. Who in their right mind thinks this stupid move will mollify the left's non-stop rants against Walmart?

There are, of course, news reports out there of gun owners acting irresponsibly. We wish that wasn’t the case, but once in a while when you hear about a report like the one out of North Carolina of a man who was carrying a concealed weapon speeding while driving under the influence, you can’t help but cringe. In this case, the man was illegally carrying and had been charged previously with illegal concealment of a weapon.

Then along comes the news from the Crime Prevention Research Center that concealed-carry permit holders are the most law-abiding demographic of U.S. citizens, and you just want to throw your hands up and give high-fives to everyone around. The report, titled, “Concealed Carry Permit Holders Across The United States 2016,” compared permit holders to the general population and then to police officers in Florida and Texas.

Though that data only covers two states (large, populated states, we might add), the data revealed that from 2005 to 2007, permit holders are convicted of felonies and misdemeanors at less than a sixth of the rate of police officers, according to the study. Out of 100,000 officers, firearm violations are committed 16.5 percent of the time, seven times more frequently than permit holders, at only 2.4 per 100,000 in Texas and Florida. Well done, folks.

From 2013, but relevant to the BS being spread. Interpol is as anti-gun as they get, and look at the conclusion they arrived at.
