If OP wants 5.56, maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Savage does any 5.56 chambering on their bolt guns

I have a Ruger American 5.56 that shoots within 1 MOA. I filled the stock with industrial epoxy, so it's solid on a bipod, kick is barely noticable. The Ruger has a lot of aftermarket stuff available. But of course the Remington 700 is king of that.
