    Default Truck Deer Stand?

I obviously know you can't hunt from a truck. But at what point does a non-running (as in doesn't run) field truck
turn into a ground blind? It has been permanently sitting in the field for years, but is still drier than a tree stand. I checked the hunting rules and regs, but couldn't find an answer. What do you think?

About 30 years ago my brother-in-law had an Econoline van body elevated on a framework of 6x6s about 10 feet off the ground. No wheels or engine so I'm pretty sure he never worried about the PGC.

I can see removing the wheels and setting it on blocks, making it no longer a motor vehicle in the classic sense. But I'd leave that motor in....for heat.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Somewhat open to interpretation; however, if "it has been permanently sitting in the field for years", I would no longer consider it a motorized vehicle. See applicable Title 34 language below.

    Title 34:

§ 2308. Unlawful devices and methods.

    (a) General rule.--Except as otherwise provided in this title, it is unlawful for any person to hunt or aid, abet, assist or conspire to hunt any game or wildlife through the use of:

    (7) A vehicle or conveyance of any kind or its attachment propelled by other than manpower. ...

§ 2503. Loaded firearms in vehicles.

    (a) General rule.--Except as otherwise provided in this title, it is unlawful for any person to have a firearm of any kind in or on or against any conveyance propelled by mechanical power or its attachments at any time whether or not the vehicle or its attachment is in motion unless the firearm is unloaded. The exceptions in this subsection do not apply when attempting to locate game or wildlife with an artificial light or when exercising any privileges granted by this title which may be exercised only when not in the possession of a firearm.

    Thanks for the replies.
    However;
    1) I don't need a handicapped license.
    2) I am not lifting it off the ground.
    3) Engine does not run at all.
    4) It is too heavy to be propelled by manpower.

I was just wondering about protection from wind and rain. Problem is, I can see it from both of my stands and it has been tempting. But haven't because I can't find out when it becomes not a "vehicle" in the PGC's eyes. I guess I could call them.

Wheels off, cannot be propelled. Engine still viable. Cold not a consideration? You da man!

According to the dispatcher it is fine to use (except for waterfowl). I am going to leave message for a real Bunny Cop. Will update when I hear back.
(edit) I tried another of the phone choices and it forwarded to dispatcher. I guess all calls go through dispatcher.
