M3000 issues
Anyone know a gunsmith in SEPA that is familiar with the Stoeger M3000?
After maybe 800 rds through the gun I am getting an intermittent dead trigger with several brands of shotshells that previously ran fine.

Send it to Stoeger for factory warranty work.
I'm only here for the wood c-rings.

Re: M3000 issues
I would rather have it fixed and function tested with all my aftermarket components installed.

Re: M3000 issues
I have a Stoeger Condor supreme that I shoot trap with. Every 700 to 800 rounds I would start getting light primer strikes. I have to tear the gun down and clean and lube it really good. After reading your post this is what I thought of right away.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

Re: M3000 issues
I am not seeing ANY primer strikes
Its like the hammer is following the bolt but I dont know if that is a mechanical possibility in this firearm
I did tear everything all the way down (but did not disassemble the trigger mechanism) and flushed it all with gun scrubber, then relubed.
I may try that another time.

Re: M3000 issues
Perhaps the bolt is short stroking. Going far enough to kick out the empty hull, not enough to recock the hammer. Also, how fast are you shooting? I can outrun the trigger on my Benelli if I shoot fast enough.

Re: M3000 issues
I am thinking I have the "Benelli Click".
I am going fast but I'm not THAT fast

Re: M3000 issues
Yes. That describes the failure. I can't recall exactly but I may be experiencing both scenarios.
I did find that the extractor retention pin was protruding a little bit so filed it down.
I replaced the recoil spring, but found out the hard way that M2 recoil spring does not match M3000 recoil spring. The M3000 is NOT a true clone of the M2.
This was relevant as an extra power recoil spring is one of the suggested remedies for Benelli Click.
Off to the range again today, to troubleshoot. I will have a bone stock, NIB M3000 along For comparison

Re: M3000 issues
Still no luck
Ran about 25 rds of Federal junk ammo through my M3000, no problems.
Ran a box of Winchester bulk ammo through it, and had 2 or 3 failures.
Went back to the Federal and had two more failures.
Both of the above ran fine through the new M3000, and previously ran fine through the problem M3000 with issues.
Switched to some high-dollar Browning ammo with higher muzzle velocity and no problems.
I am going to run the M3000 with problems in a match with hotter ammo, but IDK if I have enough of the hotter ammo to make it through the match, and I don't know if I can obtain it in time for the match.
I am thinking the problem may come back with the hotter ammo, after the round count goes up.
