Re: Transfer of Possession of Fireamrs
^^^ This is what a lot of folks have expressed....that being, guns that were Dad's have sentimental value and everyday carry seems inappropriate, thus, other guns are acquired for carry purposes.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Transfer of Possession of Fireamrs
Alright legal beagles, I have one for yinz. Man has wife, kids and gun collection. He gets divorced, marries new wife who has no kids and kicks the bucket leaving all personal possessions to second wife. Is she allowed to give guns to the man's adult offspring (AKA her stepchildren) without FFL transfer (all within PA)?

Re: Transfer of Possession of Fireamrs
I assume we're talking about handguns; long guns are easy within the state, handguns are PA "firearms". She can't do it as their mother, but she COULD do it if she disclaimed that part of his estate and the kids were next in line through the rules of intestacy. They would be directly inheriting from their dad, and inheritances are an exception to the FFL requirement for handgun transfers.
She'd probably need a lawyer to do it right.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com
