Si vis pacem, para bellumμολ ν λαβέWhat country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms!

Re: Brace for an ar pistol.
If you're over 26" from the end of the buffer tube to the end of the barrel threads, vfg is gtg. It becomes a "firearm" a la mossberg Shockwave and isn't a pistol, but not a rifle either. It's like a 3rd gender for guns.
That also means you can't conceal it (in your vehicle, slung under a jacket, etc) or carry it loaded in your car.
NOT A LAWYER.To disarm the people...[i]s the most effectual way to enslave them."

Re: Brace for an ar pistol.
You're right. And my post was an over simplification due to my laziness. I feel like a broken record on this subject though haha! But this subject is one of my favorites. I'd be glad to clarify any questions in this regard though to the best of my "not a legal expert" experience if need be.

Re: Brace for an ar pistol.
You can have it loaded in a vehicle in PA, im pretty sure the PSP clarified this, I'd have to find a reference to back this up however. The AOW wording only says it becomes an AOW if "concealed ON ones person". A hand carried range bag should be fine, a backpack on your back probably not. I'm also not aware of a technical definition for "concealed on ones person".

Re: Brace for an ar pistol.
There really are a lot of legal nuances regarding "pistols" as we know them today and not a comprehensive source on the forum. I spent a lot of time searching and reading on this subject and the information is scattered and convoluted at times. Would be a great opportunity for someone to make a sticky post about "pistol and title 1 firearm other do's and don'ts" in relation to what's allowed federally and within Pennsylvania to clear up a lot of the confusion and misinformation.
And no, I don't want to be that person to make it haha.Si vis pacem, para bellumμολ ν λαβέWhat country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms!
