I wasn't too worried. This is how President Trump works to troll and expose Dems.

He said exactly "he'd take a look at background checks". He did and decided that we have enough in place. Dems explode.

He did the same thing with immigration reform and people overreacted....then he kept his promise.

One of the problems about the current systems of background checks is with the States. Many states do not include mental patients on the list they send to the NICS. Trump has briefly mentioned this before about the current background check system. Another thing to consider is people that use psychotropic drugs. In almost every case of white mass shooters they have been the recipients of over prescribed psychotropic drugs. The day in and day out mass shootings in the democrat controlled cities is about gangs, drugs and domestic violence and background checks of any sort would have little to no effect because most of the guns used are stolen, straw purchases or untraceable.

The waffling drew anger from Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who said if Trump is serious about action he should call on*McConnell to put a House-passed background checks bill up for vote.

"These retreats are heartbreaking, particularly for the families of the victims of gun violence," Schumer tweeted.
One thing though that you can count on. Is every time there is a mass shooting Chuckie Schumer is all smiles and gleeful that this time is the time we take away the guns. The victims and families make little difference to him other than to be used as gun grab fodder.

Every lame stream media headline claims it.

You better watch it with Jen mister or you'll be getting a dirty straw.

"background checks" is code for criminalizing the lending of guns to shoot between father and son.

Stop trying to parse every word Trump says, he is just playing word games again to keep the opposition off guard.
