Here's the main reason Empty: Mental health is the entire basis for red flag/erpo confiscation. For those who don't understand, I repeat, Mental health is the entire basis for red flag/erpo confiscation. If we ignore the mental health conversations, we can *never* be prepared for the fight that is coming.

The second reason is the media. They'll be there for the kick-off. By Day 2, it is old news. So, there will be much less interest. If we have a small group on day 1, they'll report "nearly, a dozen gun owners showed up".

Third, it's less about which day and more about coordination among the primary players. In joint operations, if the parties don't communicate and stick to the plan, people die from friendly fire. The Left is well coordinated. They have the money to spread around and therefore demand compliance with a single message and specific operational tasks. A few people here at POOFA (not me) worked hard on this event and prior events to secure agreement on a message. And make no mistake, messaging is critical. When one group leader then deviates from the agreed upon message, it hurts the entire effort to get people out there.

    AMEN, Brother.

Mental Health is not only the basis for ERPO (Unconstitutional on several levels, BTW, namely, Amendments 2, 4, 5, 8 & 9 of the Bill of Rights), but also forms the very trigger (pun intended) responsible for these "mass shootings". It doesn't take long for the despicable, lying politicians who we idiotically install into office to acquire a taste of the good life, and soon their agenda merges with that of the "veterans", where holding onto those gravy-train positions where life is like winning the lottery every day becomes paramount. Again - the most efficient way to accomplish that end is to cater to those who scream loudest. Who screams loudest every time there is one of these relatively rare mass shootings? Correct - the moronic, myopic Socialist libtard crowd who are lazier than the P-O-S politicians themselves, and actually WANT the government to control their lives and protect them by delusionally thinking that the removal of the instrument used to commit the violent act will miraculously solve the problem once and for all. These are humans who would actually be too lazy to breathe were it not for an autonomic nervous system. They long for a government that smothers them with "love" and dictates their every thought and action, so they themselves no longer need to expend a single Calorie to think or act for themselves. How is it possible to reason with such a human being that doesn't have sense enough to pour piss out of a boot with instructions printed on the sole? The answer is - it's not. Period. There must be five million, crystal clear, straight-forward, easy-to-understand cliches, analogies, videos, explanations, tutorials, statistical analyses, blogs, etc, etc., etc., all over the WWW that all point out (1), it is NOT the gun that causes the problem, and (2) the RIGHT to bear arms is not open to infringement for very good reason (even though it, in fact, has been severely infringed to date - a topic for another day). Yet, these fools continue to recite he same, beaten rhetoric every single time, and the P-O-S politicians, obsessed with greed to keep their positions, follow along like the puppets they are. That this monkey trial has set aside a day to discuss the role of mental health in random, and not-so-random acts of violence is actually amazing. It leads one to imagine that maybe the handful of VOCAL, ACTIVE gun owners and Constitutional Conservatives might just be making some headway in championing logic and reasoning over the blubbering of fools.

This anti-gun crowd is the first to begin screaming if anyone should be brazen enough to challenge their sorely misguided position, claiming suppression of their right to free speech, but yet these idiots, too stupid to grasp just how stupid they really are, are the first to demand taking away the rights of others in order to suit their own objectives.

They do not understand, and will never concede that The Bill of Rights is not open to debate or repeal, that the intent of 2A is to safeguard the remainder of the Bill of Rights, and that they need to begin manning-up, accepting accountability and taking responsibility for competently looking out for their own families and any afflictions that may haunt them, rather than sitting back on heir lazy F-ing asses and crying for the government to coddle, conciliate and suffocate them into oblivion...interfering where the State does not belong.

Spending more funds and establishing a greater effort to help identify potential mental health issues without infringing on any of an individual's rights would be the proper strategy to adopt in order to begin making some sort of headway into the arena of violence in general.

However, because the human condition will never be predictable, all of the effort - even when properly directed - will NEVER bring an end to violent acts and human suffering.

It is simply IMPOSSIBLE for any government to legislate away violence and suffering from society due to the unpredictable nature, inytelect and creativity of Homo sapiens.

It's about time the libtard Socialists/Communists get a grip, and surrender their fight to transform what remains of The United States of America into North Korea West.

That these idiots are so myopic they are unable to see two steps ahead, and that they refuse to understand logic and reasoning is absolutely maddening.

I figured it would be Cracker Barrel like usual. I might even hit it myself if no plans are made. Seems like the right thing to do before a rally.
