Send the illegals being held at the border to Burlington, wait six months and see if she still feels police shouldn't carry firearms. Utopia is hard place to live in.

Burlington is an anomaly. Don't confuse it with the state as a whole. I was born in St Johnsbury and the folks there and most everywhere else in the state are true patriots and are very proud of thier heritage and consider that part of the state (Burlington) to be foreign or New Yorkish. Ain't no mass shootings without civilian response in this state.

The problem is entire states, once free, are now controlled by their metro areas that have attracted big city "progressive" types from New York, and Boston. NH, and ME have the same problems.

I wouldn't say these states are "controlled" by the metro areas or cities. They propose thier shitty laws and the people who inhabit the metro areas may follow this bullshit but the general rural population doesn't give a hoot and live thier lives as they see fit. Even Pa with the huge populations of Philly and P-burg still brought Trump to victory.
I really think also there is surge of democrats who are becoming disillusioned with that party's direction and representatives(baffoons) and if Trump doesn't shoot himself in the foot so often he will glide into 2020 and get some work done without all the distractions.
