Mitch McConnell looking at Assault Weapons Ban
Reported today that Cocaine Mitch said an assault weapons ban was on the table for the September reconvening of the Senate along with red flag laws and enhanced background checks. This is getting serious folks.

He’s up for re-election this year so anything and everything will be on the table for a swamp swine like McConnell.

Agreed. Politics in general are just infuriating. What's most frustrating is getting people to talk about meaningful ways to prevent shootings like we've seen in a way that doesn't impact law abiding citizens that don't deserve to lose their 2A rights. It's one extreme or the other it seems.

Always figured the day would come when we lose it all, just happening faster than I thought.

Re: Mitch McConnell looking at Assault Weapons Ban
I think what is crazier to think about, hypothetically of course... if that actually comes true. How do gun owners react? Does that actually become the moment that the purpose of the 2A really comes into play, and we fight back? Some believe a civil war could erupt from such a landmark change. Just things I think about, anything is possible anymore; but I'm curious to hear others thoughts on that.

Doubtful it sparks anything. A third of the nation already has AWBs. People just quietly hold on to their stuff for a revolution that won't come... we as a whole are way too comfortable to revolt. If people can't feed their kids it may be different, and by "people" I mean 90% of the citizenry.
