This had already been discussed in the thread
"2ND AMENDMENT ALERT: Would Trump Consider an 'Assault Rifle' Ban? It Appears that"
    http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=350530&page=2

    The article is here
    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...ter-in-senate/

To me it appears like Breitbart is hyping things up. Mitch just tried to fend off the press when asked about the possibility of a ban. The GOP and Trump has to know that their chances are gone in 2020 if they pass an assault weapons ban bill.

Revolution? Laughable. Gun owners won't even come out to vote or send ten bucks to a gun lobby group.

Nobody is going to do shit. A small percentage of people will turn in guns for a buy back, the rest will just keep them in their basement to look at.

But if you think about it, LEO's would be the ones to enforce such a ban/confiscation - and I'm willing to bet a majority of them stand with us on this matter. There's been numerous examples to date of different police and sheriff's departments publicly refusing to enforce new gun laws.

I highly doubt anyone is going to go door to door collecting your guns. They will just make the penalty for having one very steep and if they happen to catch you with one they will enforce the law. They could just put out warrants for people who are non compliant and pick you up at work. I'm thinking just put Cali keys on any AR you want to use in public and it's just another bolt action rifle.

No knock warrants , issued based on anonymous tips by nosy neighbors , rambling on gun forums , gun-related magazine subscriptions , NRA memberships , LTCF records and anything else that hints someone may possess firearms.
