Carlos Hathcock also used an M14. Assault rifle?

Simo Hayha was the most prolific sniper in history. He also used a Suomi sub machine gun, and had more kills than Kyle did using a knife.

They use the word "assault" to frighten ignorant people. If a rifle does not have select-fire, IT IS NOT AN ASSAULT RIFLE, but not every select fire weapon is classified as an assault weapon.

The leftist just use "assault weapon" for whatever they want banned.

And, just for the sake of information, Assault Rifles and more specifically, Machine Guns, are NOT killing weapons. They ARE ‘fire suppression’ weapons!
This means , as a unit advances on the field of battle, a machine gunner will lay down a pattern of suppressive fire, forcing the enemy to take cover, and now the good guys can advance un-molested by aimed fire from enemy positions. Once they have gained better position, they start killing with aimed fire, while the machine gunner and loader advance. Wash, Rinse, Repeat!

The term "assault rifle" must be becoming played out as lately a lot of the hack politicians like to use "weapon of war" .

supposed to? don't know to be honest. the protocol is getting tiresome.

reality, an ar-15, or an AKM isn't actually an "assault rifle". they lack a setting for select fire....all they have is "fire" and "safe".

no "full auto" setting. that setting is a requirement for an "assault rifle".
