    Default Toomey

Almost fell off my chair. Pulled up facebook and saw a PennLive article where Toomey says he does not support "Assault" Weapon ban! Wow, finally did something right! I sent him an email - must let him know when he does his job for PA !

Here's his fakebook post on the matter.
This morning, Senator Joe Manchin III and I both separately discussed with President Donald J. Trump our support for passing our bipartisan legislation to strengthen background checks to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, the dangerously mentally ill, and terrorists while respecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners and all Americans. The president showed a willingness to work with us on the issue of strengthening background checks.

Mass shootings and violent gun crimes are tragic American problems. It is past time for Congress to take action and the Manchin-Toomey background check legislation represents an opportunity to make actual bipartisan progress to help keep Americans safe.

He’s always been about background checks, not bans. He’s not up for election for until 2022 so I do not think that is an issue right now.

He’s frustrating and I would prefer a complete supporter of the 2nd, but he is a lot better than a McGinty.

I’m not ever voting for that asshole or Fitzpatrick ever again.
Screw them! If the Republicans cannot run an actual Conservative, then they deserve to lose.
Worst case, the d’s win big, pass their horseshit laws, and we get another revolution started. It is past time to water the tree!

I have zero problem with a UBC program that makes NICS checks available to the public, free of charge, with no firearm data (type, serial #) attached to it.

Get an app, enter your info, get approved and a provided code/QR, have seller enter or scan to verify, proceed with sale/purchase. Say the approval code is good for 48 hours so you can go to the meeting prepared, without wasting time in the event of a delay in approval.

I wouldn't sell privately without an LTCF and BOS anyway, but this would be a good peace of mind solution for sellers to know with certainty they're not selling to a prohibited person, and would be infringement-free.

    That would work for me.
