When we buy our house next spring, ill let you know. Currently im up to my eyeballs in mowers, weedwackers, atvs, and motorcycles and dont have room for a car lift. Part of buying a new property is for my garage.
Granted some cars are stupidly expensive for parts, on average your fan, thermostat, coolant, and oil change, with labor should have been probably around 600 or so. As far as brakes, in need more details to price it out, but it still seems about 500 high.
Check out RockAuto.com if you havent heard of it.
You can save tons of money on parts on there, including name brands . They buy out inventory from chains and mom and pops that fold up shop.

When I move back to the land/commonwealth of freedom, I am consdering celebrating by making a few similar purchases.
