All companies have employees targeted for termination, but they don’t have the term case built yet. So, it’s common practice for the company to terminate those targeted individuals for a zero tolerance policy violation (albeit minor) when they get the chance.
Not saying “that” happened in this case.

My wife is an HR generalist. My understanding is that very few UC denials are actually submitted/fought for. I suspect you'll get your UC with no problems.

Personally I would be contacting an attorney. I would be curious to know how many others have been terminated over similar infractions, especially if it's a first time. Or was this punishment strictly over looking at guns instead of fantasy league football.

I worked my last job in a union shop for 25 1/2 years where the terminal manager always had a targeted employee that he harassed. First it was Bruce, when he left it was Huey and when he left it was me. One thing I can tell you is that in a union shop the employee can screw management back and each of us screwed him hard, ultimately costing the company countless thousands of dollars over the years. It's not really a desirable situation but one has to do what one has to do.

Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

A lawyer can’t help here and they will be quick to tell you that, PA is ‘hired at will’, end of story.
