Anyone use Fireclean to put on suppressors?
Just watched a video of a guy cleaning a 22 suppressor with baked on carbon. I will be cleaning my Sparrow the first time this weekend. In the video, he is trying Fireclean for the first time. Apparently it coats the inside of the suppressor and does not allow the carbon to be baked in.
Curious if anyone uses this and if it is effective? The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Isn’t fireclean one of those lines that did the cease and desist when the guy sent it off for chemical composition and it was found it was coconut oil

Yup and I have one virgin bottle of fireclean.
For aluminum baffles you heat them up in a toaster oven and drop them in silicone oil. Harley Davidson sells dot5. YouTube video shows everything. The Gun is the Badge of a Free Man

I wouldn't use fireclean as an ablative. Wire pulling lube is cheap and better.

I cleaned my Sparrow for the first time yesterday on the patio in 100 degree heat. Took about 2 hours. Went through 4 toothbrushes, and even needed some sandpaper at the end. That will be the last time I clean it like that.
Have a Hornady ultrasonic cleaner I got about 6 years ago for reloading but which was never used. Will use it for this from now on.
Ordered the Fireclean but do not have it yet. Use olive oil as atrial. Curious if it has similar properties. The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Ultrasonic cleaner here on my suppressor multiple times, even on the part they say now not to do (and will avoid so going forward, but no damage done).
I use the Hornady cleaning solution which isn't all that harsh, but works well."A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves." ― Edward R. Murrow

Once cleaned, a good soak in some silicone or DOT 5 brake fluid will help to keep the build up to a minimum.
Wamr up your parts to around 250*, dunk them in some silicone leaving them in the liquid overnight, pull them out and wipe them off. Good to go for another 500 or so rounds.HGW, llc ~ Title 1 & NFA sales/manufacturing ~ Transfers - Title 1 $20 - NFA $50

Once clean spray inside and baffles with welding anti-splatter spray available from your welding supplier or Tractor Supply etc. Stuff is made for use on Mig welding tip to keep the splatter from building up on the cone. Works to do the same on 22 suppressors.
