Overreaction? I'd say so. What a dick. After all the uncalled for nonsense gun owners go through asking the government for permission to buy a firearm and then asking the government to give you permission to carry a firearm then on top of that keeping an illegal registration of that firearm you'd think a State Trooper would understand it's just a citizen exercising their rights.

I got pulled over on the way to the Harrisburg rally last year. I told the trooper where I was headed. He didn't ask about weapons, despite my destination and the 5.11 bag buckled in, riding shotgun. I got my ticket (that I earned) and carried on. They aren't all assholes.

Also interested if ltcf shows up on registration inquiry or just on DL being run. How about it LEO's. Inquiring minds want to know.

It's already been confirmed by LEO's on this forum that some counties do indeed provide an officer with details about the licensed driver having an LTCF. It's not up for debate anymore, it IS happening.

I've seen confirmation re other states such as Maryland. I do not recall PA counties or PA entities being named.

There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

They can also see your last purchase. At least part of it.

Funny thing is I wasn't even carrying , just a quick putt to the corner store. Would have been a full-on search if the local Chief of Police didn't pull up and wanted to know what was going on. State trooper rather curtly to the Chief to keep going. Chief stopped , go out and told me to keep going. Had a few words for that Trooper afterwards.

I dispatch police for a county and I can indeed tell you when we run a plate, we then run the owner, and advise the officer if there is a carry license.
