Need rifle suggestion for rifle team practice

So, younger daughter asked me, earlier today, if we could start going to the shooting range so that she could practice to try out for the school rifle team this coming winter.

And I say "Whahoooooo!"

But, if she's going to be even somewhat serious, I'll need to buy a better .22 rifle for her to practice on. What I have just won't work.

As such, I'm looking for recommendations for a .22 rifle that is decent and accurate enough for her to begin practicing well regularly, but nothing so damn fancy I need to mortgage the house just to train her.

I've already got an email in to the coach to see what he recommends, but I can't pass up the collective knowledge here for guidance.

If you have recommendations or even have a decent, reasonably priced rifle you are looking to get rid of, please let me know. I don't want to pass up this opportunity to get her more involved in shooting sports.

CZ, RPR, or 10/22. You can even buy a el cheapo 10/22 and swap barrels,stock, trigger as she progresses. Kinda like build the rifle of her dreams one piece/upgrade at a time.

Savage Mark II-FVT . Bolt action, peep sight, accurate and fun.

The Ruger Precision .22 LR is an accurate gun but doesn't come with sights. Unless the team uses scope/red dots, finding one with open sights or peep sights would be the best training.

CZ. They shoot well and on the later models you can start with a youth stock and change it out for a bigger one later. You'll need to add sights to this.

I'm hearing good things about the Tikka T1X, but I haven't played with one yet. This one needs sights also.

We have several different rifles in use at our youth shooting league. The CM2 is our main rifle, but all of ours are right handed. We have a couple of left handed Savages, and many of the left handed kids start out on them, but end up using the right handed CM2's as they progress higher in the Winchester qualifications. They figure out how to shoot the right handed rifle left handed. When the kids get higher up the ladder, we have a few Anschutz rifles that they can switch to. The little kids (8 years old) start out on Crickets. We also have some CZ's that haven't been prepared for use yet.

The youth program at another club I belong to uses CZ's. I really like them.

MSRP of under 500? I'd just comb the net for a good deal. A "good" 10-22 is close to that anymore, and I'm big on train as you fight. Any kind of shooting like that, it's better to have your own gun to train and compete. Borrow all the other gear she will need till you can put your own stuff together.

I looked quick and the one supplier has them B/O but I could do $460. with tx/pics. Not too bad considering the gun.
