I'm with you on the Model 19 with 4" barrel. It was my first center-fire firearm. I still have it, still take it to the range from time to time. Probably the sweetest trigger of all my revolvers.

I'm not sure which is my favorite, but the one I'm itching to get to the range right now is my Super Blackhawk Bisley 454. I just installed a hiviz fiber optic front sight, and I need to try it out.

Dan Wesson 741--.41 Magnum . got 8", 6" and 4" barrel assemblies for this fine shooter.

Ruger .357 MAXIMUM- Blackhawk with 10.5" barrel is my only Single Action revolver.

I think I'll just leave it at that for now...

Kind of tough to pick, but here are two of my favorites.

I had this built in the early 70's. It started life as a 4" Model 28-2. George Matthews, a gunsmith in Downey, CA, converted it to .44 Special using a 6" Model 24 barrel that I obtained from J&G. He changed out the front sight from a Patridge to a Baughman ramp with a gold insert. The grips are one-off Hogue monos made of linen Micarta. The first generation Tasco ProPoint (from when their optics were still made in Japan) came later (as my eyes, along with the rest of me, aged). This gun has seen thousands of rounds of 7.5 grs. of Unique behind 250 grn lead Keiths or SWC's. Probably the most accurate Smith I own, and I own more than a few.

This my current USPSA and ICORE gun. It is a Model 627-4PC chambered in .38 Super. It has a .100" wide Dawson FO front sight paired with an LPA target rear sight. The grips are Nills knock-offs (very high quality at half the price) by KSD. The action has been worked on and converted to DAO by Dave Olhasso.

I'll double down with my favorite centerfire and rimfire revolvers. Ironically they're both Colts and named for snakes.

Can't be just ONE I have to admit to 3. First A Model 25-2 in .45 ACP originally with 2 5/8" barrel, it now wears a 4" matte finish stainless barrel. Second is a Model 10-8 Heavy Barrel in .38 Sp. and third is a Model 627 Pro 4" barrel .357 Magnum.

That brings back some memories. I remember there were only a few guys that shot IPSC with red dot revolvers back in the 80's. I thought they were cooler than the 1911 race guns.
