Re: Favorite revolver?
I love Smith & Wesson and Colt. I have a 686 plus with a three inch barrel and a Colt SAA with a five and a half inch barrel. They both fire .357 rounds.

Re: Favorite revolver?
Manurhin MR 73.
Always wanted one since I was a teenager and was able to buy a surplus one in one of the small batches that came to the USA.

Re: Favorite revolver?
I had a Ruger Vaquero .45 simulated ivory grips from the mid nineties and sold it ....I’ll be damned if that wasn’t my favorite wheelgun ...I miss it.
Perhaps one is in my future

Re: Favorite revolver?
I'm also a fan of the S&W 686's, my personal favorites are the -4's.
I am a accumulator (wanna-be collector, however my finances don't allow the REAL nice stuff) of revolvers.
I have plenty of S&W's (J, K, L, and N-frames, pre-Hillary Hole), more then I need probably, but also a "few" Colt's and Rugers (the old Security Six series being my favorite Ruger DA's).
Throw in a few more Charter Arms and Rossi (Interarms, pre-Tauraus) because everyone needs a few .44 specials also, right?

Re: Favorite revolver?
As a bona fide wheel gun nut, this thread has been a fun read.
My favorite is a "matching" S&W model 14 and 15. Theyre about 10 years apart in age, but both have 6" barrels, square butts, magna grips, grooved trigger, medium hammer. Just how I like em. I read somewhere that the model 14 was made as the practice version of the model 15. .22 ammo is cheap, but theyre made to have exactly the same balance. That seems to be true with my examples.
I also reaaaaaallly like my newer GP100 6" 327 federal. Its very accutrate and I like the cartridge a lot. Found a deal on some nice checkered Hogue pao ferro grips for that one that fit my hand very well.Last edited by jmh308; July 20th, 2019 at 09:50 AM.

Re: Favorite revolver?
Hard to pick a favorite. I’d have to say my S&W 640 Pro as it has been my sidearm for a few years now. Tied for second would be my S&W model 60 3” pre lock, or the S&W 617 .22LR. Always will have a soft spot for a fine wheel gun.

Re: Favorite revolver?
When I was 21 I bought a New S&W Model 29 with a nickel finish and an 8 3/8" barrel. It came in a wood box with tools. That Smith was dead accurate and it was my favorite handgun.

Re: Favorite revolver?
I see a lot of folks talking about their favorite revolver in past tense.
If it was yer favorite , why did you part with it?I don't speak English , I talk American!
