    Those guns were made specifically for the CHP so all of them are police trade ins. S&W had discontinued their 3rd gen .40's before they ordered them.

    To be honest I didn't notice the chrome finish til now.
    I was affixed on the grips. I had a chrome shotty once, when I was younger.
    At least its prepped for a new finish

    That's because regardless if you get a 24 hour "time out", a week off, a month off, or perma-ban, the designation is "BANNED".

    Probably a long shot but did anyone see what the serial number on this pistol was or have pictures of it or who posted it? It’s probably not but I had one of these stolen a few days before this post went up, if all anyone can verify is what kind of modifications this pistol had that might have been done to alter its appearance I would really appreciated it.

    The guy says he bought it from Summit Gun Broker, which comes up as being in Missouri
