Stuff you wish you knew before getting into shooting
I think most people learn a lot about firearms from years of experience shooting. What's stuff you wish you knew before you got into shooting?
(Maybe helpful for folks new to shooting)
For me:
- Ammo is really important. The type of ammo, weight, quality, etc. can completely change the shooting experience. Reliability, accuracy, recoil, etc.
- You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a quality firearm. There are lots of high quality used, new, milsurp, etc. firearms that are reasonably priced. Sig, HK, etc. are great but you don't have to spend that kind of money to get a great gun.
