I wish I knew about the Bush Importation ban well before it happened. Over night every foreign made semi auto prices skyrocketed. I would have stocked up on HK 94, HK93, SIG 550, galil, FN FAL and Steyr Augs. There were several FN Famas and Spas 15s that made it into the country before the ban. The prices of a few these rifles like the steyr aug may have come down in price because they are back on the market however right after the ban went into effect would have been the time to sell.

My first shotgun was a gateway drug to [much] more powerful and expensive firearms.

    .

Sold my 870, 10/22, and an ar-15 when I moved to CA. Needed the money for a Pelican case for my two favorite guns. Had enough left over to buy a Gen 4 glock 19, and an eotech magnifier. Looking back, I wish I got the 17 instead.

But my first was a single shot. According to the expert I would need a double barrel shotgun in order to protect myself.

How much guns would appreciate, Colt Gold Cups retail $100.00. Bought a Colt Gov, Mdl. for $57.50 and at the same time passed on a Trounds pistol for $27.50.

As per usual all purchases were shot to death so no collector value.
