Re: Stuff you wish you knew before getting into shooting
I wish I knew about the Bush Importation ban well before it happened. Over night every foreign made semi auto prices skyrocketed. I would have stocked up on HK 94, HK93, SIG 550, galil, FN FAL and Steyr Augs. There were several FN Famas and Spas 15s that made it into the country before the ban. The prices of a few these rifles like the steyr aug may have come down in price because they are back on the market however right after the ban went into effect would have been the time to sell.

My first shotgun was a gateway drug to [much] more powerful and expensive firearms.

Re: Stuff you wish you knew before getting into shooting
How much guns would appreciate, Colt Gold Cups retail $100.00. Bought a Colt Gov, Mdl. for $57.50 and at the same time passed on a Trounds pistol for $27.50.
As per usual all purchases were shot to death so no collector value.Courage is being scared to death--but saddling up any way. John Wayne
