Taurus G2C
I decided on a Taurus G2C for my first gun. I did a lot of research reading reviews online and watching YouTube videos. I want a concealed carry weapon and to take to the range. It seemed like it fit the bill for both. Did I make a good choice or is there a better option?

Re: Taurus G2C
I picked one up and also so did my step-son a few months ago.. because they were on sale for a crazy low price.. and I wasn't expecting much for the price..( Had them both to the range again today) with around 300 rounds of mixed ammo and NO ISSUES so far Im really liking this pistol..
better options.... Sure plenty and much more money too.. I think you did fine

Re: Taurus G2C
Taurus G2C is a proven dependable,accurate,in-expensive firearm ,Feels better than a Glock 26. Glock 43 is a superb firearm also !

Re: Taurus G2C
I usually recommend folks with those specs go for an M2.0 Shield but the G2C seems decent. Sights and trigger on the shield are probably a little better.

Re: Taurus G2C
I would personally would be fine carrying the Taurus G2C, it's proven itself very reliable at this point even for the Taurus haters. If I had to choose a 2nd to recommend you around the same price range it would be a generation 1 M&P Shield excellent pistol and fits all the needs you listed.
I wont recommend the 2.0, the Glock or the Sig since they are all over double the price of the g2c.Join the GOA & save $5.00. https://www.gunowners.org/mac-subs-join-goa.htm

Re: Taurus G2C
I don't trust taurus products unless I was in the market for a boat anchor. So to answer your question yes there are better choices. However not knowing your budget and what other features you were looking for such as caliber , capacity it might be OK for a cheap first gun.
If you had a bigger budget/willing to spend more money I will say Glock, Sig H&K CZ S&W would have been better choices.
On the brighter side Taurus has a rebate going on so check it out to see if your gun qualifies.

Re: Taurus G2C
I just picked one up from Tanners.... Nice ergos and price. I seen good reviews on it, but it will not be my CCW, I have a G23 for that.
More range gun and an intro gun to train my girls when they are old enough to shoot.
