NRA Fires Dana Loesch, Closes NRATV

The National Rifle Association has let go of its most famous spokesperson, Dana Loesch, and ceased production of NRATV.

“As many of you may know, we have been evaluating if our investment in NRATV is generating the benefits needed.

“This consideration included the return on investment and the cost and the direction of the content.

“Many members expressed concern about the messaging on NRATV becoming too far removed from our core mission: defending the Second Amendment,” NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre said in a statement.

“So, after careful consideration, I am announcing that starting today, we are undergoing a significant change in our communications strategy.

“We are no longer airing ‘live TV’ programming,” he said. “Whether and when we return to “live” programming is a subject of ongoing analysis.

“The NRA will continue and improve our service on social media channels and our flagship website, www.nra.org – your trusted resource of information.

I believe she is passionate about "defending our 2nd Amendment", and I feel like NRAILA is also... never been to firm on what Mr. LaPierre really believes. That said, from NRA's POV, Dana and Colin are probably not inexpensive, and may be a bit more "preaching to the choir" than lining up votes and overturning bad law. Without seeing their audience numbers & tracking, it's hard to know if they are doing more than stirring the pot and making those that already support them feel good.

No matter what, it will be a shame to loose what is really the only wide-reaching & loud PRO 2A voice in this fight. Hope there is another sponsor on the phone with her people right now.

my understanding was that the company that hired all of the hosts and handled the nratv in entirety left/broke contract after the whole fiasco a few months ago.
maybe relating to non payment, i don't recall.

it's sad, will be following my favorite hosts elsewhere.
