    Default Wild Turkey eggs

    Asking for a friend.
Clearing land and come across a wild turkey nest with about 10 eggs.
Instead of it being in waist high grass it's now fairly exposed.
Watching for Momma to come back.
If she doesn't is it legal to remove eggs and try to hatch and raise them?
Couldn't find any clear answer searching. Thought there was a game guy or two who hung out here and would have the answer.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

I'd tell my friend to just do it.

If you have to ask if its legal you already know its not. Removing wildlife in egg form or not is a criminal offense if PGC gets wind of it.Leave them for other wildlife to make a meal of the eggs in the hen does not return I always love the part I AM ASKING FOR A FRIEND !Law Enforcement does read the posts that are on the site !

Understand what you're saying but actually I didn't know, especially on private land. Tried to call the regional game office but they close at 1600. I know the hardest part of this story is to believe I have a friend.

Relax......its only a chicken nest. One must have got away from your neighbors farm . So no harm in making an omelet or two.

    A feathery omelet, yum!!

I know a guy who knows a guy who accidentally mowed over a turkey nest with a farm tractor this spring, he wasn't too happy that he didn't see it first.

I recall reading about that somewhere.
