Re: Muzzleloader Recommendation for Deer + Bear
I will be heading out with my CVA optima. IT's placed much venison in the freezer. Hopefully some bear this year.

Re: Muzzleloader Recommendation for Deer + Bear
Thanks all. I’m definitely going modern for now and learn what works for me. If I enjoy it, maybe go older school down the road.

Re: Muzzleloader Recommendation for Deer + Bear
I use a Traditions Buckstalker. Bought it clearance right from their website. Much cheaper that way. I got it for around $125 IIRC.
I shoot saboted rounds out of it. It's a .50 caliber, but the saboted round is a .30 caliber.
It is a really accurate rifle and shoots multiple loads and rounds equally well. It is a really sweet rifle!Sed ego sum homo indomitus
