    Default Ruger Charger to SBR

Sitting here looking at some of my guns and looking at my Ruger Charger. Thought popped into my head - Anyone ever Form 1 a Charger to turn it into a SBR? Already has the short threaded barrel and the standard 10/22 receiver so it wouldn't take much to do.

I was thinking about doing some of this for my son before I decided to go AR pistol.

Correct. I don't understand paying big $$ to get my name on yet another .GOV list.

If you stamp it you could hunt with it, with a brace you can't....

I already have a can, but if I could have gotten something that did the same thing without the hassle why on earth would I have bothered?

That’s your prerogative. I’ve never seen a brace that is as good looking or as comfortable as a stock. I also have zero qualms about having yet another item on their list.

My personal take on braces is they are great on firearms chambered in service pistol cartridges and calibers up to .223/5.56 for anything larger you really need a stock.

With the emergence of a PCC division in most competition circuits more people want to participate unfortunately they don’t allow braces so the SBR is a must if your going to use a short barreled firearm.

I think the Charger in the video I posted is slick and looks great with that brace.
