This is what I do when I’m out west. It also help reduce eye strain looking thru binos all day at the critters.

You think wearing glasses causes eyestrain?

Young grasshopper, don't be afraid to learn from your elders, they have been in your shoes and have found a better path.

I find peering through binocs or any other scope to be an annoyance with my glasses on. My hands are not steady enough to prevent knocking my glasses repeatedly and it kind of hurts my face. I have never put my glasses on my head so I can't offer any guidance on that maneuver but my eyesight is bad enough that they never get too far from my hands.

Eye glasses plus binos yes. The more lenses you look thru the more distortion = eye strain.

I get you, I may refocus then w/o g;asses and adjust the diopter since I did it with glasses when I set them up.

If you remove your glasses it works even better, but some folks prefer to keep their glasses on while using the binoculars. Switching from glasses to no glasses, depending on what you are looking for, is a PITA and typically results in sliding your glasses onto the top of your head where they end up falling on the ground and getting scratched. At least, that's my experience.
This is my method and has been for years.
