Ditto, among other things that we're not allowed to post about here.

Well that's one side of the story by a cousin who wasn't there so I guess we will have to wait for the other from the cop and I'm sure there is the security cam footage from the store.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out:

A person who has supposed mental issues getting shot.
    His parents also getting shot.
Witnesses saying that there was only an argument
Shoppers thinking it is a mass shooting
A cop being the shooter in a city/state with stringent gun control and not many people can carry to protect themselves others than cops.

It will be interesting to see what the videotapes show. I’m waiting before deciding if this belongs in the armed citizen thread.

“From my understanding, from some people we talked to, there was apparently an argument inside. Some type of argument that ensued into a gun battle,” Lt. Jeff Edwards told reporters.

Upon their arrival, officers reported finding one dead and three wounded, including the suspect.

According to CBSLA reporter Joy Benedict, the LAPD had “use of force” investigators at the scene all night as the department conducted their own investigation.

The off-duty LAPD officer reportedly works in the Southwest Division and shot and killed a man during an altercation after feeling threatened.
"Gun battle" implies another gun involved and shots being exchanged. No word of a second gun being involved.

I bet if that were a non-cop that was "feeling threatened' and shot 3 people, one fatally, they would have been cuffed and stuffed in no time.

The Los Angeles Police Department said it is conducting an administrative investigation into the matter.
Cop wasn't on duty, shouldn't that be a normal investigation.

I’m not sure, most sites have backed off that part of the story. Might have been someone misunderstanding or misinterpreting something they saw. It’s easy for things like that to be misreported early on.

Did this occur in LAPD’s jurisdiction ?

If not, the local department is handling the criminal matter and LAPD is conducting an internal OIS investigation.

So, you don't carry in a PO? Interesting. Not even a quick in and out? Or if going somewhere else first and decided to check your PO box?
