Nope I lock it in the glove box and park in the store lot next to it. I don't have a PO box and only hit the post office a few times a year if that.

Cop Kills Unarmed, Non-verbal Disabled Man in Costco, Shoots His Parents Too

Two parents are in critical condition after they were shot and their son killed by an LAPD officer as they shopped for groceries in Costco.

Corona, CA — On Sunday, panic erupted inside a Corona, California Costco as multiple people were injured and one man was killed. Nikki Tate and dozens of other shoppers immediately dropped to the ground as fears of the next mass shooting filled their thoughts. However, it turns out the “mass shooter” was an LAPD cop and his unarmed victims were a mentally disabled non-verbal man and his parents.

Tate told USA Today that she heard “about six or seven shots” as she and other shoppers crawled around aisles to escape the shooter. After it was over, Kenneth French, 32, of Riverside, lay dead on the ground next to his two parents who remain in critical condition.

Immediately after the shooting, police claimed there was an argument in the store between two people when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other. Police claimed they had detained the shooter inside the store.

Hours later, however, police changed the narrative and said no one was in custody and that there had been no arrests in the case.

Later police would claim that French, without provocation, “attacked” the yet unnamed LAPD police officer who was holding his young child which forced the officer to pull his weapon and kill French and shoot his two parents as well.

“Without provocation, a male unknown to the officer’s family assaulted the officer while the officer was holding his young child,” a statement said. “This attack resulted in the officer firing his weapon, striking the male and two of the male’s family members.”

The officer’s child was not injured. Police claim the officer was treated at a local hospital for unspecified reasons and then released.

The language used to describe the officer’s actions — especially considering he was off-duty — is an all too familiar narrative we hear when on-duty police officers kill unarmed victims. Had the LAPD cop been an average citizen and shot and killed a mentally disabled man, shooting his parents in the process, rest assured that this would’ve played out far differently.

What’s more, while anyone would be justified in shooting someone who attacked them and their child, the family of French disputes this story.

“He was a gentle giant,” Rick Shureih, French’s cousin said to the LA Times. “He’s never been violent in the past. He’s always been very cooperative and kept to himself.”

The Press-Enterprise interviewed the Frenchs neighbors as well, who said they have never seen any aggressive action from Kenneth.

According to PE, the neighbor said he could not recall Kenneth French ever challenging anyone or being aggressive. “They have been here four or five years. There was never an incident like that.”

According to the Times, “Shureih identified his relatives as Russell and Paola French, Kenneth French’s parents — both of whom were being treated in an intensive care unit Sunday night. Paola French was still in a coma, Shureih said, while Russell French’s condition has improved some since the shooting.”

Shureih told the Times that he can’t imagine what would have led up to the shooting, but he explained that it was unlikely Kenneth French initiated a verbal confrontation because — due to his mental condition — he’s not spoken in years.

“It could have been that he bumped into somebody but couldn’t communicate the fact that he was sorry,” Shureih said.

French’s mental disability was so debilitating that he lived with his parents his entire life. Shureid described French’s parents as “the sweetest people in the world.”

In a heated Facebook post Sunday, Rick posted a photo of Kenneth and his parents on Facebook with the following caption.

I’M NOT KEEPING QUIET ABOUT THIS! PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW! THIS IS MY FAMILY! THESE ARE THE VICTIMS OF THE COSTCO SHOOTING THE OTHER NIGHT.

MY COUSIN KENNETH WAS KILLED AND HIS PARENTS, MY AUNT & UNCLE WERE ALSO BOTH SHOT AND ARE IN ICU.

DO THEY LOOK INTIMIDATING TO YOU?

DID HE REALLY HAVE TO SHOOT THEM ALL?

I’M POSTING THIS PICTURE BECAUSE THE STORIES ON SOCIAL MEDIA HAVE MADE THEM OUT TO BE THE SUSPECTS, AND THE OFF DUTY COP THE VICTIM.

THIS IS A FAMILY THAT WAS UNARMED AND WAS JUST GROCERY SHOPPING.

TRUTH WILL COME OUT! I’M SURE THIS WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING THAT GOT ESCALATED FOR NO REASON!

IF ANYONE WAS A WITNESS PLEASE GET IN CONTACT WITH US.

Shureih says he plans on hiring a lawyer to advocate on his aunt and uncle’s behalf and is asking witnesses to come forward.

“We need witnesses to come forward, We need to know the shooter’s name. We need to get the surveillance tape from Costco,” Shureih said. “These are things we need to pursue to make sure justice is done.”

As far as the video goes, TFTP reached out to Bill Scott, whose son was also killed at a Costco by police, and who tells us that, “if the Costco security video ‘malfunctioned,’ you can be sure that cop killed the victim for no justifiable reason.

Costco employees always help cops cover up their deadly mistakes.”

All of a sudden its not looking good for the cop. And maybe rightly so.

OK, so MAYBE someone could make a case that this "mentally deficient" guy did something......but then to say Mom and Dad attacked the cop and his only option was to pop a cap or two in each of them of his is an unbelievable stretch.

I understand things might get emotional after you see someone shooting your kid while shopping. But this cop is going down.

What is it with shootings and California Costco’s all of a sudden.

1 dead, 2 wounded in shooting at Chula Vista Costco

CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Two people were wounded and one person died Monday afternoon in a shooting in the parking lot of a Costco in Chula Vista.

Police received several reports of gunshots in the parking lot of the Costco at 1130 Broadway at 12:58 p.m., according to Chula Vista police Lt. Dan Peak. When officers arrived, they found two men and one woman who were all suffering from gunshot wounds. All three people were taken by ambulance to UCSD Medical Center, Peak said.

Lt. Peak said during a press conference at about 3 p.m. that the male shooter was pronounced dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound just before 2 p.m. after he had been transported to the hospital. The second man and woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were undergoing surgery for their injuries. None of the victims’ names have been released.

According to Peak, the suspect approached the second man and woman with a handgun as they were loading groceries into their car in the Costco parking lot. The victims were all shot at close range multiple times. Police believe the shooter may have had a prior relationship with the woman, who was shopping with her boyfriend.

The female victim’s infant was sitting in a stroller nearby when the shooting occurred but was unharmed, Peak said. The infant’s relationship to the men involved in the shooting was not confirmed.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Authorities are not currently looking for other suspects. “We’re very confident there is one suspect, one shooter — and that person has been pronounced deceased,” Peak said.

The Costco parking lot will remain a crime scene for several hours, Peak said, so people should avoid the area. However, Costco officials said the store would remain open for shoppers during the investigation.

The shooting comes just three days after a fatal shooting at a Costco in Corona, California, about 100 miles north of San Diego. In that incident, an off-duty Los Angeles police officer shot and killed a 32-year-old man and wounded his parents. The circumstances of that incident are under investigation.

And another California Costco event this weekend.

    https://www.kget.com/news/local-news...gs-police-say/

Woman found dead in Costco parking lot was attacked by 3 dogs, police say

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Dogs could be responsible for the death of a woman who was found at a Costco parking lot early Sunday morning.

Bakersfield police were sent out to the 3800 block of Rosedale Highway at around 6 a.m. of a case of a suspicious death.

When officers arrived, they found a woman, who has not been identified, with obvious trauma.

Bakersfield police confirmed three dogs attacked the woman in the early part of Sunday morning.

A pitbull and one mixed breed escaped from a nearby business and a third was a stray.

Directly behind the Costco parking lot are car shops and businesses where neighbors say many homeless people walk by.

A long red fence stretches around part of the parking lot where homeless people managed to cut a big enough hole to pass freely from the Costco lot and the shops directly behind Standard Street and Brian Way.

Business owners said, two of the three dogs had been seen walking around the area in the past and believe that one of the dogs was pregnant.

Many business owners have said they have seen two of the three dogs walking the area recently but never bothered to call animal control because homeless people tend to bring in strays from time to time.

Security footage obtained by KGET, shows two of the three potential dogs involved in the accident at around 10:30 p.m. walking on Standard Street and seen walking back from the lot at 3 a.m.

Animal control officers managed to locate all dogs involved in the accident and will be euthanized.

The exact cause of death has not been identified and will be determined by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call Detective Keith Cason at 661-326-3868 or the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111

Costco is like Walmart and Chick Filet. Liberal click bait. If anything happens there (or even in a nearby parking lot) it is national news.

Bad things happen in other stores throughout the nation everyday. But no one cares or the store is not even mentioned.

But anything at Costco, Walmart or Chick Filet will make people click.

Don't be so quick to lump Chick-fil-a in with the liberal shithead stores. I think, if you do some quick searches you will find that Chick-fil-a is a pretty conservative organization.

I didn't mean it that way. Liberals hate Chick filet because they are a privately owned company and whose owners have the nerve to admit they are religious. In this case they always publish stories to try and put them down.

But for some reason these three companies are the Kardashians of retail
The media will never give up the opportunity to publish crap even remotely related to the business. And for some reason people always click on them.
