Keep an eye on magazine subscription charges
Renewal costing more to a long-time subscriber than a new subscriber seeming unfair, I let mine expire. My brother opened a new subscription at half the price of my renewal cost. As a present to him, I paid for the subscription by check. That was in late February
His magazines began coming in April. This month, June, I started getting one in my name. I went through our credit card statements and there it was, a February transaction for $16.97. (Brother's new subscription was $8).
I never agreed to automatic renewal. Today I called the magazine CS. She verified it was auto-renewed. I stated i never agreed to that arrangement. She said she could only cancel it and give a partial refund. I said I received only one magazine...how much is that one unwanted magazine going to cost me.
She then said I will get a full refund to my credit card.
Just because you ain't paranoid doesn't mean they won't getcha. There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Keep an eye on magazine subscription charges
I always check any service I subscribe to for auto-renew and turn it off. I learned my lesson with Sirius radio.
With the world wide web, I always wondered how magazines (periodicals) are still in business. It has to be close to 2 decades since I last bought a gun periodical.Last edited by eagleclaw; June 14th, 2019 at 11:01 AM.

I think you meant Clip subscription.

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Keep an eye on magazine subscription charges
I'm always getting urgent and important renewal notices for gun mags that I don't subscribe to anyway.
