    I love Colt NM's.

But I'm not really enamored with 80's or stainless guns.

    BUT , for $600 I'd grab it!

I am seeing the gun Sunday at the trap club. If it is in good shape I will probably by it.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

I picked the pistol up today. As expected the price was a little higher than he original said. He went to the local GS and found out what they were going for.
The gun is in pretty good shape. Two things wrong as far as I can see. The rear sight elevation screw is missing. The gun needs to be cleaned badly.
The gun came with a full length rod and springs sets for the rod. The 18 pound is installed. The original op rod and spring is there.
Over all I am happy with the gun.

Kind of bullshit to change the price and missing parts but your happiness is all that matters
Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

Practice diligently with it and you'll be able to do that offhand at 50 yards using the NRA Conventional Pistol target.

How do you know I can't already?

    Unless I get Lasik , I can't even see a target at 25rds anymore let alone 50.

As long as you're pointing at the correct target and can identify the "black", that's nearly all you need because you're supposed to "see" your front sight! Maintain your sight alignment and picture, apply pressure to the trigger correctly and you'll do fine.
