Here's the thing you seem to forget, or maybe you just don't get it.
The percentage of people in this country who own suppressors or bump stocks is probably lower than .25%. The number of voters who actually give a shit about bump stocks or suppressors is probably no more than 5%.
You and your 500000ish bump stock, suppressor friends across the nation did not get Trump elected, trust me. If he wants to get reelected he needs to play to a wider group than YOU. Sorry, that's just math.
Unfortunately I think most of the voting population doesn't know or care what a bump stock or suppressor is, they just want to see something done about people getting killed even if they don't understand what it is. Try to explain what a bump stock is to someone who is not a semi auto rifle person. Trust me, they get this glazed over look and ultimately they ask "why". Hell, I own semi auto rifles and I don't understand "why", it's a plastic toy is used to play soldier.
We aren't going to win this when 95% of the population doesn't even understand what these things are.

That's one of the things that is questionable. Where's the proof the shooter was using a suppressor? As soon as these shootings happen these stories if they don't fit a certain narrative or if the facts don't line up get buried at sundown.

I noticed that the people that were killed were mostly white. Was this guy a white hater stoked by an anti white press and an anti white democrat party? Were all those people killed white supremacist nationalist nazi facists? Probably not. That shooter was pissed off at something, maybe it was a perceived grudge for the way he was treated. Who knows, did he have family some democratic socialists were holding hostage and threatening to kill them if he didn't go on a shooting rampage? Make up whatever story you like. The FBI stated that he had a suppressor, BUT, they went as far as to say both 45 cal pistols he had with him were legally obtained (in 2016 & 2018) but said nothing at all about whether the suppressor was legally obtained, so it seems fishy they would have the info with purchase dates and all for the guns but didn't bother to check if the suppressor was legal????? Also did he have two suppressors or one suppressor that he moved from one gun to another? or was only one gun suppressed?
BTW suppressors are illegal in the city of Virginia Beach. Guess he didn't know that before going on a shooting spree.

I was going to wait until the last panty twister got all their wind out before telling them that. You let the cat out of the bag though. If Donald Trump loses in the next election you won't have to be concerned about plastic gun toy accessories or silencers. Your rights will really be threatened if someone like Bitter Biden, Sanders, Buttplug or any of the other clown car passengers are elected President. The majority of gun owners don't vote or support or contribute to any gun rights organizations. Trump knows that yet he still shows up at the NRA convention to voice his support for the 2nd amendment.

I started this thread and after reading your post I’m not sure if you are calling me a troll or not. This is supposed to be a pro gun /second amendment website/forum. Therefore, upon reading about Trump’s remark on his intentions on “silencers” I made a thread about it here and properly cited the source with a link in the initial post. The purpose was to inform members who care about gun rights about the president’s statement. I too was around for the bump stock issue, the bizarre meeting with Feinstein where Trump encouraged her to pursue her “assault weapons ban” much to her delight. This situation also takes me back to 1989 when after George H Bush won with heavy gun owner support and an NRA endorsement and thank us with his importation ban.

My point is I don’t know if Trump is serious. One can argue that he was just playing to the left in the name of politics. Maybe he thinks sound suppressors are the new sacrificial lamb like bump stocks were to take the heat off of semi autos. Or maybe like G. H Bush with his importation ban he is trying to appease both sides and is going to end up appeasing no one.
I also agree that there is a lack of gun owner support in elections and participation in pro gun organizations.

Trump did make a speech at the NRA convention and he did say that he will “unsign” the UN arms Trade Treaty. The only problem is no one every followed up on that so we don’t know if he unsigned it and what other process needs to take place before it is totally eliminated.

With that being said, Trump did make the remark about considering banning suppressors. I didn’t make it up or exaggerate. It’s true that I did made some posts within the thread about “what if “situations should Trump decide to pursue a ban. However at no time did I encourage anyone to abandon Trump next election. In addition, I’ll ask; are the moderators here supposed to censor any threads/ post that could be negative about Trump especially when it is backed up by facts? That’s what the media does in North Korea when it comes to Kim Jong Un
