I wish I was a single-issue voter, life would be so simple.

Re: Trump says he still considering "silencer "ban on Piers Morgan
A deep thinker and principled guy, this President is not. He does not possess carefully thought-out viewpoints. I don't think he could tell you the origins of the Natural Rights and Social Contract theory of John Locke. This explains why he says strange things in public. It's because he really doesn't have a coherent world view.
That said, he has excellent business and political 'intuitions'. He has a talent for knowing what to do 'in the end', and things seem to work out for him. He probably also has a bunch of people advising him who are deep thinkers, and who do have principles.
Trump has gotten a lot of great things done for this country. He's the opposite of a lot of politicians. Instead of being highly articulate and getting nothing accomplished, he gets a lot of great things accomplished while being a disaster in his rhetoric.

Si vis pacem, para bellumμολ ν λαβέWhat country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms!

Re: Trump says he still considering "silencer "ban on Piers Morgan
I'm most certainly a single issue voter right now, otherwise I'd still be voting for the libertarian candidate. When the courts are secure, I'm going back to voting for more than the 2A. I'm just disappointed that my 2A vote goes to someone that's anything but pro 2A.
Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.

Re: Trump says he still considering "silencer "ban on Piers Morgan
If I know nothing at all about the candidate other than R or D, I will vote R. If I know anything else about them then I can vote on those issues. I don't vote straight R just for the sake of voting straight R if that's what you are asking. Although on other issues Ive almost always have voted R.
I also play to win, which means at heart I'm probably closest to being libertarian, but voting for a libertarian is a lost vote so my vote goes to the next best thing, R.Last edited by ray h; June 9th, 2019 at 11:23 AM.
