Re: archery
General small game season doesn't start until Saturday. Once saturday comes, you can hunt game that are in season with a firearm.
Coyotes are in all year and you can hunt them now.

Re: archery
OK, so I don't think I've ever found a true answer in the old, small digests and haven't looked in recent years but can someone tell me or show me anywhere that says it is illegal to carry a shotgun AND a bow in fall turkey/archery season overlaps? Yeah, I know, it's a task and a half lugging TWO weapons up and down a mountain(though I know I am capable of doing it... :cough: Heck I think there have even been round trips w/ a climber in there as well ) BUT I'd like to know if it is "legal" or not...
Girls, Guns and Gears......What more could you ask for in life?!

Re: archery
it is 100% illegal to carry a firearm and bow at any time in the woods UNLESS you have a LTCF permit and then you can carry a pistol for defense, the open carry rule does NOT apply, you can only carry while hunting with a LTCF permit...
You can hunt turkey with a bow during all firearm seasons and for all game that are legal to harvest with a rifle. it doesn't work the other way though obviously and you can never carry a bow and a rifleThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: archery
The best thing I can say..."Hire a professional reader to read and try to interperate the Pa Game book."
As you are a young hunter, please get used to reading The Book.
And it ain't easy. The game books used to be so simple, but the last few years-
(since they went to advertisment books) it is a weeks worth of work to try and read the thing and be correct with what ya read.
But Please---learn ho to READ THE BOOK. You are young and have allot of good years ahead and don't want to loss yur licence because ya didn't take the time to read.
The book needs re-written but who are we to judge....
Be blessed & safe, Andrea
