Default Cheapest barrel chop, recrown & thread? (Shipping ok)

Anyone know of someone doing this on the cheap? Maybe due to volume or niche etc... im ok with shipping if it means cheapest - this is for a 10/22 barrel, nothing exotic

Considering what shops charge around here just to thread buying a new barrel with what you want is probly going to be cheaper.

Unless you find some bored guy with a lathe.

This...... First off you are way ahead in that a 10/22 barrel can just removed with just an allen wrench. So you can just ship the barrel anywhere for cheap. But I still wouldn't be looking for the lowest bidder. An off center thread or boogered crown is not worth saving a few bucks.

There are tons of 10/22 barrels for under $150 and most are better then the originals from the factory. Just get out your check book and be done with it.

Still , with set-up/clean-up will take at least an hour , hour and a half. Most shops bill at $100/hr.

Class 3 machining does great work and his prices are inexpensive. As others have said...why not just buy a threaded 10/22 barrel as they are also inexpensive as well???
