Is it harder than a Ruger mark III 22/45?

I have to watch a video everytime to put it back together. Stopped shooting the damn thing 😀

It is the magazine disconnect. There is an easy fix to get rid of it. My Ruger MK II's don't have the mag disconnect, but all else is similar. Neither the Ruger, nor the Luger are difficult if you follow the instructions. In general the Luger takes a bit less time, and you just need to compress the action slightly by pressing the muzzle on a padded piece of wood, or similar to disassemble. I just use my work bench with a towel over it.

I bought a used one. When I got it the pages in the manual that say how to take it apart were pristine, the pages that say how to put it back together were covered in oil stains

That fix sounds like something I should look into- Thanks!

A Wolf service pak spring kit and some +P or NATO-spec 9mm ammo and she runs fine.

When I was 10 years old I used to strip down my Dads byf 41 bring back and clean it. It is one of the easiest firearms to take down and put back. After clearing the Luger just put the front of the barrel on a hard surface, push down and then throw the lever over the side plate. It pops off and then take everything apart. Very easy.

^^^^This. BYF is Mauser manufacture. I have one. It does NOT need +P ammo, and runs with my lead reloads, hollow points, downloaded reloads, and of course FMJ.
