    Default Star Firestar pistols

One of my favorite pistols is my "Star M43 Firestar" 9mm pistol. It's small, all-steel construction, SA semi-auto trigger makes for a great pocket pistol ( for it's time, before all the newer poly guns that are available now ).

Back in the day, I carried one for several years as my go-to CCW weapon. I packed the basic blue-steel, rubber gripped model, but also owned a "Starvel" finished one as well.

Now I have several, including the models M40 ( .40 cal. ) and the M45 ( .45acp ). I still see them on gun shop and/or guns show displays. If priced right, I add another one to my to my inventory.

I liked the solid feel and heft of the weapons, which aided in controllability during firing. These guns never failed to feed anything I put thru them.

Every once and a while I pull them out and run some ammo downrange.

Ask me to sell you one - you'll get a quick "NO" response ( when I'm gone, see my wife for the deals !! LOL )

I have an M43 as well. Very well built pistol. At the time it was sorry to see Star go under!

I should go outside and cut the grass, but "abner13" post has me thinking.

Build myself a two-tone M43, but having one Starvel over Blue finish just doesn't have the look for me

There's always the option to have a frame "Cerakoted".

I only have a Starvel finished M40. I am not a fan of the .40 S & W caliber, but I still need a Blue one to complete my stable. It is the only Star pistol that I own, that rarely gets fired.

Had one of each in the shop I worked in years ago. Had the idea to swap slides. The other one sold immediately.

I picked up the factory Starvel , in LNIB condition a few years ago. Found it in a shop tagged too low to leave it there.

The grass will have to wait, I'm out to pop-off a few rounds thru the M43.

Next I'll just have to shoot the M45, but I'll also dig out a Star "PD" as well ( my favorite Star pistol !! )

I just like the blue over S/S look of a combat carry pistol.

"too low to leave it" would have me adding another pistol to an already too big pile.
