Re: Moving to PA
Welcome to PA. Enjoy the Flea Market in Saylorsburg, you may see people selling long guns there.
A couple of years ago, I picked up a "last ditch" Arisaka for $100.

LOL geography lesson. There is a Saylorsburg but the places with a Saylorsburg address are circled in red and could be as far north as McMichaels or as far south is just north of the Wind Gap line.

Re: Moving to PA
When you first get your license in PA, they'll give you a temporary one at the DMV. I guess they do some verification stuff while you have it. Once they're done with their processes, you'll get your real license in the mail.

Like I said, your temporary one should be enough to give to a shop for ID purposes, but some will turn you down.

Re: Moving to PA
Thanks for the info, I went onto the web-site and everything looks straight forward.
Well, that was the top two firearms on my list... There are several more...
I'll be sure to check the flea-market out. Nice find on the Arisaka, can you still get ammo for it?
I would be just north of the Wind Gap line.
That's the site that I Googled before seeing this link, thanks...
That site explains well why there is a wait, I also see at the bottom, it states.*7. Will businesses accept temporary products as proof of identity? Before a temporary product is issued, all verifications to prove identity and residency are completed (i.e. verification of Social Security number, birth certificate, immigration/naturalization credentials, and residency documents). Therefore, businesses should recognize the temporary product as an official PennDOT document.Originally Posted by ma[/QUOTE
