I was looking at a vp9 but the deal just got this in on trade. I’m stupid not to buy it right?

It all depends...if it's not what you want it's never stupid to not buy it. If it works for you it is not a bad price if it's in good shape and comes with everything it came from the factory with.

Should have added, it’s got all the original materials/ grip panels. I’m not opposed to the vp40. Just like the mag capacity of the 9mm.

I have a VP9 and like it. One of the things to consider is if you are adding a new caliber to your safe or increasing the number of one you already have. I prefer to keep my number of different calibers lower.
