Re: Constitutional Bill Submitted in PA
Here's the information:
HB1412 Overview
https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs...type=B&bn=1412
HB1412 PDF of the Bill
https://www.legis.state.pa.us/CFDOCS...r=1412&pn=1730
Support for this should be a no-brainer - but let's be real - As much as I support Constitutional Carry, what is the chance that Wolf would allow this into effect - I highly doubt it would be a VETO proof passage...
Getting a governor who supports the rights of the people is a critical first step - then promoting those actual rights... We need to be ready, but accomplish first things first...
I applaud the effort - but why waste the energy (if it can be utilized elsewhere) pushing this down a pathway that ends in a brick wall...

Re: Constitutional Bill Submitted in PA
As much as I am opposed to just pissing into the wind I agree. The Dems are shameless in their waste of time and energy pumping out proposed legislation that stands no chance of becoming law and it is past time that we reciprocate in kind and launch an offensive. Hell, why not propose repealing the NFA while we're at it.

Re: Constitutional Bill Submitted in PA
Sorry, but there is no way we get a veto-proof majority vote in the House on this bill. If you polled republican gun owners on whether we should 'allow' gun purchases and licensing without a background check, I estimate that 25% would say 'no'. In SE PA I bet it is as high as 40%. So, I cant see even a simple majority in the House, never mind a super-majority.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't support the effort to advance it, because we most definitely should. But realistic expectations are important when conducting war.Help us restore election integrity in PA. Join PA Voters United
