I do correct when I see clip instead of magazines though.

At Oaks I wanted to take a photo of “Wendy’s CLIPs”
I don't correct terms much and clips doesnt bother me at all.
If I correct you ....... I'm just trying to be a wiseguy.
I corrected the wife some time ago on clips .......... I should not say "corrected" ........ but we had some tactical timmys about 3 tables down.
The wife does use the word clips .......... I say , "mags".
    Rolls off the tongue easier.
And when she said "clips" ...........
I said , don't let them hear you say that .... they'll be down here like a monkey on a cup cake.
She was unaware of how sensitive some view the clip/mag thing.
I understand what clip is ............ but if a fella comes to the range looking for his lost clip to his gun ............... I'm just goin help him hunt for it.
Unless he tells me about the "impulse" of his pistol...................

Sorry for a Facebook link but this video seems to have been scrubbed from the internet by the media powers. Still worth a click.

I have not seen any range rats for a very long time.
I can remember when it was every visit to a range a car would pull in.
Most were not a problem ............ one made me start carrying skunk scent in my range box though.

Hey , lets talk about "dinner vs supper"
BOTH are the same to me ... meaning the evening meal.
If you tell me to pick you up after dinner ........... and you meant "noon meal" ........... I will be very late.
If you mean "lunch" say LUNCH ............ not dinner

Interesting couple of posts, my wife fell in love with my 649 the first time she shot it with 38+p's and later with magnums, wasn't too fond of the 41 mag mountain gun though

It makes a big difference. Plenty of people mistake a box of bullets (reloading supplies) for loaded ammunition because of using the word bullet. Then they buy it. Then walk around with it for an hr or so at a gun show. Then they want to return it. Or they take it home and realise they dont reload and want to mail it back to me.

Its the same to me as a clip or mag. The two while similar are entirely different objects. So is a bullet and ammunition.

    Edit :

Sorry. I went on a diatribe and then seen the sarcasm.
www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

When I was a kid and we played outdoors in a game of cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians we had make-believe bullets, gun belts loaded with bullets, or declared you're dead, you're outa bullets.

Bullets, to those having little to casual acquaintance with guns, is what you load guns with.

As into guns, shooting, reloading as I have been for years, a few years ago I got confused looking at a box of bullets at a gun show, remarking on the price. The vendor explained they were not cartridges, they were the bullets only. I was embarrassed as hell.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

If it weren’t for impulse I wouldn’t have half my pistols.

Here's another one: hot water heater.

If the water was already hot why would it need a heater?

Really? So if you disable the heating element or turn off the power to the unit, the water would still stay hot? I understand that you are saying maybe it should be just called a "water heater", but it does generate hot water.
