Re: Casino Carry
A person entering into a casino contrary to posted conditions of entry is arguably engaged in criminal defiant trespass and/or has no right to be there. In either case they could not avail themselves of the protection under the Stand Your Ground statute.
18 Pa CSA 505(b)(2.3) An actor who is not engaged in a criminal activity, who is not in illegal possession of a firearm and who is attacked in any place where the actor would have a duty to retreat under paragraph (2)(ii) has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his ground and use force, including deadly force, if:
(i) the actor has a right to be in the place where he was attacked

Re: Casino Carry
So, virtually all NO GUNS posted on entryway only is unenforceable?
I've often wondered what a judge would do if the defendant testified under oath that s/he did not see the (one) sign.
Sometimes the best defense tactic is the defendant does not take the stand. In that case, how does the claim get in?
The onus being on the prosecution to prove defendant did receive notice would seem the case, but I can see a judge ruling the notice was given, we are not here to determine that the notice was sufficient, and the court does not credit defendant's testimony regarding the notice. There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Casino Carry
I always carry at the casino. Nobody has ever noticed. I don't even know if there was a sign or not.
