Smile Re: Colt Python prices at gun shows?

Just FYI one sold today at auction for $2300 + 18% + 6% = $2876.84 + transfer out the door. Or actual shipping plus a $15 handling fee per firearm if shipped and not sales tax out of state.

Thanks everybody. Since the Korth is out of reach Im going to pursue a Python regardless of the inflated prices.

Were there many Colts in that auction?
    How were prices overall?

Did you stop in their new shop & range?

Seen this and thought of this thread .... not a Python but better.. an Anaconda. Guy doesn't post a pic but says excellent condition.

Be extremely careful if considering a used Python. Many have developed cylinder end shake that cannot be corrected without ridiculous cost, if at all. Continuing to fire it and end shake just gets worse. The only alternative is shelve them or sell them. Caveat Emptor.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Thanks in advance for any help on the subject, Brian

A Python will range from $2500-$3,000 these days, depending on condition of course.
