Firearms/Weapons manufacturing companies
I moved to Washington Twp (Slate Belt region, Northampton County) from NJ a couple of months ago. I'm still working in NJ (mechanical engineer) but the 3hrs/day of commuting is slowly killing me and I want to use this opportunity to find a job that's more in-line with my personal interests (i.e., firearms/weapons manufacturing). The two places I'm aware of are the Picatinny Arsenal (still NJ) and Lancer down in Quakertown. What are some other good manufacturing companies in eastern PA that I could look into?

Re: Firearms/Weapons manufacturing companies
I don't think TAD works on firearms. Tobyhanna's specialty is in communications, computers, surveillance and reconnaissance systems. Tobyhanna's mission statement will tell you they are recognized for, "unparalleled capabilities include full-spectrum support for sustainment, overhaul and repair, fabrication and manufacturing, engineering design and development, systems integration, technology insertion, modification, and global field support to our Warfighters." Knowing a few guys that work there this boils down to 8 hrs a day sitting at a bench replacing diodes on motherboards for a variety of C5ISR systems such as Blue Force Tracker. If you want to work on military firearms you have to go the Anniston Army Depot in Alabama.

Skip the passion and go for the opportunity. I would rather grind hard to make more money than intermix a hobby with my finances.
Or move to New Hampshire and work for Sig Sauer...

Re: Firearms/Weapons manufacturing companies
Thanks for the replies everyone!
@Steve_NEPhila - that's generally my thinking and the path I usually follow, but it would be damn cool to work on firearms for a living, a man can dream
