    Just another politician distorting the facts. According to the FBI (below), about 1/4 officers killed by firearms are killed by a rifle of any type. Double the number for all police deaths, because half killed in the line of duty are killed in traffic accidents.

    So in reality, 1 in 8 police who die in the line of duty are killed by rifles of all kinds, while 1 in 2 are killed by motor vehicles. I think we just need to revoke drivers licenses and let them walk the beat, or better yet, don’t allow them special privileges to use cell phones and laptops while driving!
